Module II: Knowledge and Application
The Knowledge and Application Module is a supplement of questions added to each course which requires the Paraeducator to focus on the facets of instruction that:
- Promote exceptional teaching practices, methods, and procedures.
- Facilitate student learning.
- Become useful for formative evaluation.
How does the Knowledge and Application Module work?
- A set of questions and scenarios is added as a new unit at the end of most courses. These questions and scenarios require the paraeducator to implement various aspects of the corresponding course content and reflect on outcomes.
- Each paraeducator answers the questions online so that record keeping is convenient and consolidated.
- The questions are easily printed for administrative or supervising teacher evaluation and approval using a rubric.
- The questions and answers are formatted so that the paraeducator's approved work can quickly be added to a portfolio.
